Owned and operated in South East Queensland, Total Gourmet was established in 1998 by Tanya Hargreaves.
We pride ourselves on being wholesale gourmet food specialists. Our business has been founded on the idea of offering our customers a "one-stop-shop" in gourmet food lines, something that's strongly echoed in our intention statement:
To offer our retailers interesting, innovative and quality products that facilitates their point of difference from the major chains. Our wide offering enables them to limit their suppliers, consolidate their freight and keep abreast of new market offerings with limited work on their behalf.
We distribute specialty foods: retail & foodservice, shelf stable, fresh & frozen, gluten free, organic & vegan, mainstream & food for gift.
Our customers are wide & varied - including premium delicatessens and food providores, independent grocers, green grocers, butchers, fishmongers, health food stores, fine dining restaurants, hotels, function centres, caterers, vineyards, cafes, tourist outlets, online retailers, hamper companies and florists.
We believe in the value of business partnerships - good relationships mean alot to us and as a business we place a high emphasis on creating and maintaining partnership relationships with our suppliers and our customers. We're not interested in "making a buck" at someone else's expense - we have a broad range of products and a broad range of customers - and our team are committed to aligning good supplier products with customer markets with the view to establishing mutually beneficial long term relationships.
Our warehouse is located at Dinmore, west of Brisbane in the Ipswich locality. We have three sales reps who service Queensland and into Northern NSW either physically or via phone. We utilise both our own refrigerated delivery vehicle as well as outsourced couriers to ensure that our deliveries are timely and consistent.
Our warehouse team operate weekdays from 7am, which allows us to despatch orders twice daily. This means our order turnaround is as efficient as possible, and also means we can be responsive to urgent orders.
Tanya: Like most business founders, Tanya's the glue that keeps the place together - and that fills all the gaps! But with her five children (yes - 5!) we don't know where she finds the time.
Kristie: The cheery voice on the other end of the phone, Kristie is at the forefront of our customer service. She runs our office and our accounts receivable so it's advisable to keep on her good side. When not at work Kristie is busy looking after her twin daughters and occassionally getting to ride her horse.
Ann-Maree: Our resident Chef and cook extraordinaire, Ann-Maree is very passionate about food. Ann-Maree looks after the territories of Toowoomba (& surrounding regions), the Sunshine Coast and west to Goondiwindi, Moree, Inverell & Glen Innes.
Karen: Since joining Total Gourmet, Karen has thrown herself into the role with the same vigor she displays in her outrigger canoe competitions. Karen covers the Gold Coast and Northern NSW as well as from Gympie to Cairns (but we don't make her do it by kayak!).
Allana: She may be our youngest sales rep but Allana comes with years of experience in the Gourmet Food industry; from self employed, to Retail Deli Manager then five years as a sales rep for a large distribution company. Always professional, Allana covers the Brisbane territory and attributes her extensive knowledge of the Brisbane area to her years of service as “mums taxi” for her two children.
Penny: Our resident GenY-er and the voice behind our facebook posts so follow us to get insights into the crazy world between her ears! Penny coordinates our order fulfilment and dispatch and is also our Telesales Rep. Penny is as bubbly in person as she is on the phone and we are blessed to have her brightening up our office. Penny has two young children and hand raises birds as a hobby.
Susie: If it's IT then Susie's the person you need. Susie designs, builds and maintains our product database, IT system and website and generally keeps us functioning (or not functioning!) in cyberspace.
Lynn, Paula & Rob: The warehouse team - and what a team they are! They pick & pack orders, co-ordinate receival & despatch, and we couldn't operate without them.
Mark: The face (and singlet!) of Total Gourmet, Mark is our cheery (and cheeky) delivery driver.
Sharon: Spring may bring blossoms to the Jacarandas but at Total Gourmet it brings Shaz (don't call her Sharon!) to our warehouse. Shaz is married to Gaz and joins our warehouse team to cover the Christmas season.
